Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Position Summary:
Seeking a compassionate, dependable, and student-focused School Paraprofessional to support teachers and assist students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social success. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with instructional staff to provide classroom support, supervise students, and help create a positive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution OR Passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (ParaPro Exam) OR Minimum of an
Associate's Degree Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily educational activities Provide one-on-one or small group support to students Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during transitions Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and record keeping Reinforce lessons and instructional strategies directed by the teacher Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Support students with special needs as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), when applicable Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children or in a school setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, flexible, and professional in a fast-paced environment Experience supporting students with diverse learning or behavioral needs is a plus
