• Jenison is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to work alongside our experienced Lead Teachers and help create safe, positive, and engaging classroom experiences.

Key Responsibilities Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Engage children through stories, art, sensory play, music, movement, and hands-on experiences Assist with meals, rest time, diapering, toileting, and transitions as appropriate Encourage children's independence and positive social interactions Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management Help maintain appropriate supervision and classroom ratios Build positive relationships with children and families Keep classrooms clean, safe, organized, and welcoming Collaborate with teachers and center leadership Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred Professional early childhood experience is a plus, but not required CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Willingness to learn and complete required training Reliable, patient, positive, and team-oriented Must meet Michigan licensing requirements for the position What We Offer $16
