Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students as a Paraprofessional in the Grand Blanc, MI area for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers multiple full-time positions (up to 10) for dedicated individuals passionate about working with students across all grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school. Assignments may involve working 1:1 with students in various settings, from general education classrooms to specialized resource, self-contained, or cognitively and emotionally impaired programs.
Key Qualifications:
At least 60 semester hours of college credit, or an associate degree (or higher) Alternatively, an ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of at least 460, or College Board SAT scores of at least 480 in evidence-based reading/writing and 530 in math Ability to provide official university transcripts or test scores prior to district submission Experience in educational settings or working with children is highly valued Flexible, compassionate, and eager to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for students during the school day, including assisting in both general and special education classrooms Aid students with daily tasks, similar to responsibilities of a health aide professional—including supporting students with cognitive impairments who require diapering or toileting Facilitate inclusive education and access to learning materials and activities for all students Collaborate closely with educational staff to create supportive, engaging classroom environments Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times This is a full-time contract role, offering 37.5 hours per week with schedules from 7:15am-3:15pm or 8:15am-4:15pm, depending on school assignment.
