POSITION OPENING ASSISTANT PRESCHOOL TEACHER
(GSRP) (ESS/Willsub Employee)
Required Qualifications:
Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances, if applicable. CDA or associates degree required Must obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification Experience working with preschool children
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
Experience working with preschool-age children in a classroom setting Experience working with emergent curriculum approaches Comfortable supporting and engaging parents and families Skilled in communication, both written and verbal Flexible and willing to help where needed. Additional duties as assigned. A successful candidate will be able to: Assist in assessing Children's growth and development Support and assist the Lead Teacher in the preparation, planning, and execution of the daily operations of a classroom. Have a positive and caring attitude. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive caring environment. If an existing program can demonstrate to the ISD that it is unable to hire qualified associate teachers, persons who have minimally completed one course that earns college credit in child development or early childhood education may be employed. Individuals hired in 2023-24 or after who enroll in a child development associate credential with at least 6 months of verified experience in early education and care may be employed.
