Hamilton Community Schools is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Paraprofessional specifically for the Hamilton Virtual School program. This role focuses on promoting continuous improvement in student learning by implementing timely behavioral interventions and support for students in the virtual program across grades K-12. The individual will assist teachers, staff, and administrators in managing student behavior and providing a supportive environment, whether in person at the lab or through online platforms.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are the core responsibilities required to perform this role. These duties ensure students receive appropriate instruction and support for their educational development. The PBS Paraprofessional is also responsible for other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the district, provided such duties are consistent with the employee's certification and job responsibilities.Behavioral Support:
Assist in managing the behavior of students and implementing positive behavior interventions.Instructional Assistance:
Lead small groups of learners and provide both written and verbal feedback to support student progress.Student Supervision:
Supervise students in multiple settings, including in the classroom, online learning labs, and monitoring after-school pick-up.Collaboration:
Work closely with the elementary positive behavior intervention coordinator and virtual school staff to meet the individualized needs of students.Communication:
Keep teachers and administrators informed of any special needs or behavioral problems concerning individual students.Confidentiality:
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students and their families in accordance with Board policy and state/federal laws.Professional Development:
Participate in staff development training, faculty meetings, and special school events as requested. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent.Title I Paraprofessional Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following: Possess a college degree. Completed at least 60 college credit hours. Achieve a passing score on an MDE-approved academic assessment (e.g., MTTC Basic Skills, ETS-460, WorkKeys, SAT, or ACT) . Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written), problem-solve, and develop effective working relationships with students and staff. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with students with varying social-emotional or special needs. Current CPI Training for non-violent crisis intervention. First Aid/CPR certification.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25+ pounds.WHO ARE WE?
