Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers. This role involves implementing developmental activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive social and emotional growth in young learners. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and team members to promote a supportive and educational atmosphere that encourages curiosity and learning. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning. Supervise and interact with children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to share with parents and team members. Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and toilet training for infants and toddlers. Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. Ensure adherence to licensing regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in early childhood education. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education methodologies. Experience with classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning environment. Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable; ongoing training in child care best practices is encouraged. Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting can be valuable assets for this position. Job Types:

$13.73 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
