REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma or equivalent. CDA or Associate's Degree preferred. Experience working with children. Good communication skills. Ability to plan activities for young children. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
: Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children. Assume equal responsibility of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the room(s). Responsible for the arrangement, appearance, and learning environment of the classroom. Assist the instructor in implementing the program for the students in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school. Assist instructor with the organizational duties. Take an active role in large and small groups, work-time (Plan-Do-Review) and all areas of running the classroom. Take the lead in running the classroom when the teacher is absent and there is a substitute. Assist in planning and implementation of field trips. Attend all Professional Learning Communities (PLC), plan daily, parent orientation, Meet and Greet and professional development opportunities sponsored by the WBPA. Have valid CPR and first-aid training.
