GED Full Job Description Qualifications/Description:
Experience working with students with autism is preferred; Ability to be responsible for all student self-care; Ability to physically attend to student needs, including personal care, diapering, augmentative communication, and assistive technology devices; Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability and willingness to perform recess monitoring, bus unloading, and lunchroom supervision, as necessary; Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes; Effective communication skills with a variety of staff members; Ability to work with children in a caring, nurturing manner; Demonstrates flexibility, teamwork and organization; Collaborate with teacher to implement differentiated instruction/ASD strategies and supports necessary for meaningful engagement in the school setting Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Hard working and a team player; Experience with behavior data collection and modification is preferred; Basic computer skills preferred; Ukeru and/or CPI training is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required; One of the following preferred: 60 credit hours of college credit Associate's degree College Board's SAT score of at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460
