Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a role that helps students thrive in hands-on vocational programs! Three positions are open for Paraprofessionals/Instructional Technicians in Trucking and Equipment, Welding, and Collision and Repair classrooms near Warren, MI. As a full-time team member (35 hours/week, Monday through Friday), you'll play an active part supporting educators and empowering students by providing essential classroom assistance in dynamic, skill-based learning environments. Ideal candidates are attentive, motivated, and eager to make a positive impact. Demonstrating subject matter knowledge in trucking, equipment operation, welding, or collision repair is a plus, as is any prior experience supporting instruction or working in educational settings.
Qualifications:
Either two years of study (60 semester hours) at an accredited higher education institution, an associate's degree (or higher), or successful completion of the ETA Parapro Assessment (minimum score: 460) or required SAT scores (evidence-based reading/writing: 480, math: 530) Experience in a related content area (trucking, welding, automotive repair) preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Positive attitude and adaptability when working with diverse student groups Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff

Support instruction by assisting in classroom tasks for vocational programs Help foster a productive, encouraging, and safe learning environment Reinforce lessons and guide students through hands-on projects and assignments Aid students with questions, equipment set-up, and safety practices Collaborate with lead teachers and other staff to ensure the success of all learners Become an integral supporter of career and technical education!
