In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering early childhood development by implementing innovative curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Your energy and passion will inspire children to explore, learn, and thrive in a safe and stimulating setting. Whether leading a classroom or assisting with daily operations, you will contribute to shaping the foundational experiences that set children up for lifelong success. Follow and implement the curriculum by the center and adjust instruction as needed to meet children's individual learning and developmental needs Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that support literacy, math, physical, and social-emotional development Report to the Program Director and follow center policies and guidelines Manage classroom routines, lesson plans, and maintain a positive behavior environment Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being Support individual needs using appropriate strategies, including early intervention when needed Communicate effectively with parents regarding progress, milestones, and daily activities Collaborate with team members on classroom planning, events, and learning activities Incorporate hands-on learning approaches (including Montessori-style activities when appropriate) Willing to participate in 2 hours of pre-employment training Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting preferred Associate degree preferred (Early Childhood Education or related field) Knowledge of lesson planning, classroom management, and child development principles Ability to support children with diverse learning needs using appropriate strategies Strong communication skills with children, parents, and staff CPR certification (or willing to obtain) Must be able to pass a background check Experience with literacy, physical activities, and classroom tools is a plus Familiarity with Montessori or other early childhood approaches is a plus Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
