Instructional Aide Position (Kindergarten)

Ideal Candidate Qualifications/Requirements:
An ideal candidate would be strongly committed to Catholic education and promote the teachings of the Catholic faith in their work. A Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited university or experience working with children in an educational setting. Ability to complete criminal history and background check Ability to complete Protecting God's Children. Possess love for children and the desire for their success and growth Familiarity with centers, running records and portfolios Possesses energy, is orderly, a problem solver, mobile in classroom setting Conducts excellent classroom management Displays a high degree of knowledge in the subject matter assigned and is continuously upgrading competence Gear instruction to student ability while providing assistance for those needing remedial work or enrichment Knowledge and use of SMART technology, iPads and online programs Maintain effective communications with teachers, faculty, and students Note any significant school problem or potential problem and refer to the proper authority Perform school-related responsibilities, in addition to supporting classroom instruction, as agreed upon in contract Assists in presenting/supporting learning activities to provide varied classroom experiences that are congruent with educational goals, objectives and Catholic Faith . Establishes effective relationships with students, parents, community and other staff members Collaborates and plans with Kindergarten staff Maintains professional ethics and responsibilities including participation in the total school program, curriculum development and building committees, and provides a positive role model for students Maintain confidentiality of information and abide by the school's Staff Handbook Other duties as assigned by the administration Please send Cover Letter, Resume and References to: choying@stpwl.org
