Qualifications :
Enrollment in or Possession of CDA required, AA in Early Childhood or higher preferred. Prior early childhood classroom experience preferred. The ability to work and communicate effectively with parents & young children. Home visitation experience preferred, particularly with young families. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes respectful behavior and cooperation among children Engage children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and proper behavior management Support individualized learning needs by working with children with disabilities or special needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with other developmental challenges Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean learning environment Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and daily experiences Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education Experience with lesson planning across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and specialists Experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred but not required Proficiency in behavior management techniques to support social-emotional development Join us in creating a joyful learning space where every child feels valued and inspired!
