Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students across multiple school sites as a Floating Substitute Paraprofessional. In this dynamic, full-time contract position, you'll provide essential support in special education classrooms, assisting students with behavior needs, implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and occasionally helping with personal care needs—including toileting when necessary. With 30 hours per week guaranteed when school is in session M-F, even on slower weeks, you'll enjoy reliable scheduling and varied experiences across elementary, middle, and high schools.
Key Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following: Pass the MN Para Educator Exam OR have at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required) Recent experience supporting students with behavioral challenges in a school setting Comfortable working as both a 1:1 aide and in classroom settings Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and personal care Flexible and responsive to frequent schedule changes and location assignments Reliable transportation to travel between multiple sites within the district Highly organized, proactive communicator, and quick to adapt
Responsibilities:
Serve as a substitute paraprofessional, covering call-outs district-wide Support students in classrooms, ensuring a safe and positive environment Implement BIPs and provide direct assistance to students with behavioral needs Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration Respond promptly to staffing needs as notified by the crew supervisor
