Job Description

Nativity of Mary is seeking a, dependable, and faith-filled Preschool Aide to join our early childhood team. If you enjoy working with young children and understands the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful classroom environment this role is for you! This role supports our teachers in helping children grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically through daily routines, play-based learning, and positive guidance. Successful candidates are patient, flexible, energetic, and able to work collaboratively while meeting the many needs of a busy preschool classroom.
Responsibilities Include:
Support the lead teacher in carrying out daily classroom activities and routines Assist with centers, play-based learning, and teacher-led instruction Provide one-on-one and small group support for students as needed Help children with transitions throughout the day, including arrival, cleanup, bathroom breaks, snack, lunch, rest time, and dismissal Use positive redirection and encouragement to support age-appropriate behavior Prepare classroom materials and help maintain an organized learning environment Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Foster a calm, caring, and engaging atmosphere where children feel safe and valued Assist with classroom cleanup and end-of-day responsibilities Work closely with the teacher and preschool team to support the needs of all students
