Paraprofessional Delano Intermediate School is looking for patient, caring, supportive persons who can assist teachers in managing/monitoring student behaviors and provide assistance with academic work completion as well as functional skills as a paraprofessional in the ADSIS (Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services) program.
JOB SUMMARY
The paraprofessional will support general education students with academic, social, behavioral, and functional needs by implementing interventions with high levels of fidelity. The paraprofessional will work in collaboration with mainstream classroom teachers and under the direction of the Assistant Principal and building SST team. The paraprofessional will also utilize their skills daily for the purposes of data collection and communication to support the needs of students. Additional duties may include supporting students during lunch, recess or other unstructured times.
POSITION DETAILS
Location:
Delano Intermediate School Hours:
7:50am - 2:50pm (6.5 hours/day on student contact days), 30 minute unpaid lunch. Specific start/end times may vary.

Salary & Benefits:
Pay starts at $19.99 - $22.81/hour Benefits include district contribution toward health insurance or $1.75/hr cash-in-lieu option, Dental available at your cost District-paid long-term disability insurance See Paraprofessional Contract for more information.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree / equivalent or prior designation as a highly qualified paraprofessional. Alternatives to achieve highly qualified status are available. Experience with behavior support, special education or people with disabilities is preferred. Necessary training is provided.
