Our client is looking for a caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Assistant Teacher to join their premier preschool in Edina, MN . The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6 weeks up- to 5-years-old. This is a Direct Hire position with the school The shift for this position is 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday; year-round employment Salary $16.55 - $20.45 /hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits 401(k) with employer match Medical/dental/vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement Responsibilities Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education Qualifications Must be at least 18-years-old
REQUIRED
Education:
High School Diploma or
GED REQUIRED
Experience:
At least six months of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must meet background check eligibility
