Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment assisting students in special education programs. Several positions are open for skilled Paraprofessionals at an elementary school focused on inclusion and growth. This contract opportunity involves working closely with students in resource settings, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase classrooms, and the Ready Set LAUNCH program. Candidates can indicate their area of preference when applying.
Key Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following: Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or at least 60 college credits with transcript required (a diploma or degree alone does not qualify) Experience as a paraprofessional or working in a school environment is strongly preferred Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and daily care needs as part of support staff expectations Ability to build positive relationships with students and collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Sensitivity to the needs of students in special education, with a patient and encouraging demeanor Availability to work weekdays, 32.5 hours per week on a contract through June 2027
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in special education resource, DCD, or LAUNCH programming Assist students with daily routines, academic activities, and personal care as needed Implement instructional plans created by teachers and document student progress Foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment Support classroom management and help adapt materials for student needs
