In this versatile role, you will support classroom teachers across various age groups and programs, ensuring a nurturing, engaging, and well-managed learning environment. Your flexibility and dedication will help foster the growth and development of children, while providing valuable assistance in daily classroom activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education and special education settings, making a meaningful difference in young learners' lives. Duties Assist lead teachers with planning and implementing curriculum activities focused on literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and overall childhood development Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging appropriate behavior among students Work with children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives, including literacy education, math skills, and behavior management strategies Provide supervision during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and engagement Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials, proofreading instructional resources, and setting up learning stations Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and communicate observations related to children with disabilities or autism Serve as a mentor and role model for children by demonstrating effective communication skills and fostering a nurturing atmosphere Adapt to different classroom needs as a floater by seamlessly transitioning between classrooms and supporting various age groups or special programs such as Montessori or private school settings Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood education or classroom settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in proofreading educational materials or tutoring plans Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt quickly to changing classroom needs Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through mentoring and tutoring activities Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education methods, Montessori approaches or private school environments is a plus Join us in creating an inspiring space where young minds thrive!
