Job Description

Hallelujah Childcare Center in Hermantown is seeking applicants to add to our dynamic team of early childhood professionals. Hallelujah Childcare Center is a faith-based childcare center and is a ministry of the Hermantown Community Church. The program has earned a 4 Star Parent Aware Rating and is deeply committed to serving children and families in the community. To qualify for the Early Childhood Teacher position, one must be teacher qualified in accordance with MN DHS Rule 3 standards, which can be found at https://www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503.0032/. Preference will be given to applicants with a degree in early childhood education and previous experience in a licensed childcare setting. This is a "Float Teacher" position, working four 10 hour shifts each week to replace lead teachers on their days off. Candidates will be expected to implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans created by the classroom teacher in each respective classroom. The ideal applicant will work well in a team caregiving environment and have strong communication skills. The teacher will be expected to work in each age category, from infants through school age. Candidates must be able to pass a Federal background check and training required by the MN Department of Human Services. Starting pay for this position is dependent upon qualifications and experience, ranging between $17.50 and $18.50 per hour . This position is full time (40 hours per week), year round, and requires availability during operational hours of 6:30-5:30, Monday through Friday. To qualify for the Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher position, one must have previous experience working in a licensed childcare program and qualifying post-secondary education credits as outlined by the MN DHS guidelines found at https://www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503.0033/. The ideal applicant will work well in a team caregiving environment and have previous experience working with infants and toddler-aged children. The Assistant Teacher will be expected to float between infant and toddler classrooms. Assistant Teacher candidates must pass a Federal background check and training required by MN DHS. Starting pay for this position is $15.50 per hour . This position is full-time (40 hours per week), year round, and requires availability during operational hours of 6:30-5:30, Monday through Friday.
