Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Paraprofessional, supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Lakeville, MN. This position is ideal for those passionate about individualized student support and eager to make a positive difference through the district's specialized "focus program." Multiple openings are available, and the school system offers ongoing, year-round needs—meaning continuous opportunities to contribute and grow. What we're seeking: Completion of at least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an Associate degree or higher, or a passing score on an approved formal ParaPro academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher) Alternatively, demonstrated competencies as outlined in the MDE-approved competency grid A PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one (quick and free, under an hour) Strong commitment to supporting students with special needs in an educational setting Clear documentation of required education/license/certifications for district submission Enthusiasm for engaging in a diverse and inclusive school community Ability to attend a mandatory orientation, held Wednesdays at 1:30 pm Role highlights: Provide essential support to students and educators within specialized classroom environments Deliver individualized assistance to students, guiding them through academic and behavioral goals Foster positive, inclusive interactions among students and staff Adapt to classroom needs with professionalism and flexibility Collaborate daily with teachers and school professionals to ensure optimal student progress Be part of a school district committed to nurturing every student's potential.
