Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding educational setting and make a meaningful impact as a Paraprofessional, supporting students' growth and learning in a vibrant elementary environment. This contract opportunity offers three immediate openings within a highly regarded school, working alongside educators who value dedication, compassion, and teamwork. With a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours each week, you'll find consistency and variety as you assist across different grade levels. Available roles include a center-based position and two resource settings (Setting 1 & 2), each providing the chance to build rapport with students and staff while supporting individualized learning needs. In these roles, flexibility is key: you may work with one grade in the morning and another in the afternoon, adapting to the diverse needs of the classroom. Supporting students with toileting and personal care is an important aspect of fostering their independence and dignity.
Qualifications:
Highly qualified by at least one of the following: • Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam or MN Para Educator Exam • Minimum of 60 college credits (must provide official transcripts) Resume and Highly Qualified documentation required for consideration Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred Adaptability, reliability, and a collaborative mindset Commitment to student safety, inclusion, and positive development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and small group support under educators' guidance Assist with individualized learning and behavior plans Support students with personal care as needed Foster a nurturing and productive environment for all learners This is a contract position starting in early September 2026, with potential to move into direct hire after the initial period.
