The Classroom Educational Assistant assists the classroom teacher and other building staff with performing duties necessary to meet the educational needs of every student. The Educational Assistant's primary focus is on directly serving K-5 students by reinforcing skills through reading and math groups, reinforcing social-emotional skills, and supervising K-5 lunches. Ideal candidates will believe and ensure their role is to support and develop a high-quality learning environment focused on each and every student.Position Requirements:
High School diploma/GED required. Associates/Technical degree preferred.Other Skills & Abilities:
Candidate will have a growth mindset, focused on flexibility and growth as a professional, as well as with students. Candidate will have a strong equity lens, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels. Candidate will build strong, impactful professional relationships with students, staff, and other school stakeholders. Candidate will have an awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Bilingual candidates are preferred.Hours:
5.5 hours/day (8:45 am- 2:45 pm)
Rate of Pay:
B-2-1 $18.64- $22.44/hour depending on experience. Benefits offered for this position are as listed __ Educational Assistant
