Responsibilities may include:

Create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels valued and supported. Supervise children while ensuring a safe, healthy, and engaging environment. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and hands-on learning experiences. Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play, STEM activities, outdoor exploration, and sensory learning. Foster positive relationships with children through encouragement, patience, and meaningful interactions. Support daily classroom routines including meals, naps, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play. Promote positive behavior using redirection, encouragement, and developmentally appropriate guidance techniques. Maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms. Communicate professionally with families regarding their child's day and developmental progress. Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to provide exceptional care and education. Follow all Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Administer First Aid and complete incident documentation when necessary. High school students are encouraged to apply for our High School Teacher's Aide positions. Experience working with children through babysitting, nannying, camps, coaching, church programs, or volunteer work is welcomed. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to provide positive classroom guidance and behavior support. Must meet Minnesota childcare employment and background study requirements. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and move throughout the classroom. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds . Sit on the floor while interacting with children. Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in all seasons. Actively engage with children throughout the day.
