Assistant Principal Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, required Must be P.C.A.(Personal Care Assistant) certified; will train if you do not already have this certification. Experience in a high school setting, preferred. Experience working with student with special needs is preferred.
Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the classroom teacher, provide assistance to students with special needs as per the IEP (Individual Education Program). Facilitate special education students in achieving social, personal and academic growth, in a positive and safe educational environment. This position may require the use of proper lifting and restraint, as well as assisting students with academics, personal care, and skills of daily living.
