Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with academic and/or behavioral needs. Emphasis on quality relationships with students and colleagues. This position involves working with special education students who need encouragement and instruction to help manage their emotions. Must receive a sense of fulfillment when shaping children who are learning skills such as self-control and emotional regulation. Emphasis on quality relationships with students and colleagues. Relational greatness with students and adults is required as is dependable attendance. Willingness to calmly work in a setting that can be highly emotional. Will also provide Lunch and Recess Supervision.Requirements:
In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must haveONEof the following; a Bachelor's Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam.Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications.
