DiscoverTree Childcare Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant . As a childcare center worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children under our care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to make a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children in various activities, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that stimulate children's physical, intellectual, and emotional growth. Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, teamwork, and self-expression. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized childcare facility, including sanitizing toys and play areas, preparing meals, and ensuring hygiene practices are followed. Collaborate with parents and communicate effectively about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Observe and monitor children's behavior and development, addressing any issues or developmental delays promptly and appropriately. Uphold and enforce established childcare center policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; formal education in early childhood development or related field is preferred. Previous experience working in a childcare center, preschool, or similar setting is highly desirable. A genuine love for children and a strong desire to provide them with a nurturing and supportive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Basic knowledge of child development principles, early learning methodologies, and age-appropriate activities. Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them.

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
