Job Description
Position Summary The Communications, Design, and Creative Arts Department at STLCC-Florissant Valley campus is seeking a ceramics studio technician to provide technical and instructional support for its ceramics courses. This is a part-time position and is limited to 10 hours per week. Primary Duties Performed Primary Duties Performed Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the ceramics studio and outdoor work areas Loading, firing, and unloading kilns, Perform minor repairs and adjustments to studio equipment Mix, test, and maintain glazes, slips, and stains Manage supply inventory Recycle clay Provide instructional support in the classroom Qualifications/Experience High school diploma or equivalent with extensive experience in ceramic arts and studio management. BFA or higher degree with a concentration in Ceramics is preferred. Working Conditions This position is limited to 10 hours per week.
