Job Description
Teacher Assistant KVC Academy Cuba -
What You'll DoSupport students in the classroom and during daily activities.
Assist teachers with instructional and behavioral interventions.
Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following requirements:
Passed the ParaPro Assessment and can provide certification; ORCompleted the Missouri 20-Hour Substitute Certificate Program and possess, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate; ORCompleted at least 36 college credit hours and possess, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.

Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when carrying out written and verbal instructions.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or coursework in education or a related field.
Experience working with children in educational, behavioral health, or social service settings.
Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional and behavioral disorders, and child development.
