Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic early childhood education team as an Assistant Teacher/Floater, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging environment for young learners. In this versatile role, you will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure a positive experience for children across various age groups. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum implementation while making a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development activities. Support classroom management by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of different ages and abilities. Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support and encouragement. Help organize classroom materials, prepare learning centers, and facilitate activities that promote social-emotional growth and cognitive development. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meal times, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum enhancements that incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and behavioral observations to foster strong partnerships. Qualifications Prior experience in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including working with toddlers, preschoolers, and individuals with special needs. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members. Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly as a floater across different classrooms while maintaining consistency in care and instruction. Pay:
$15.35 - $15.50 per hour
