Job Description

TITLE:

Paraprofessional - Sped 1 on 1

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 60 college hours or equivalent. Competency in the area assigned. General understanding of public education. Good human relations skills.

REPORTS TO

Supervising Teacher and Principal

JOB GOAL

To assist and support a Cooperating Teacher

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with cooperating teacher's program. Works with small groups of children. Works individually with students to meet their basic educational needs. Assists with the educational program of the district. Follow all requirements set forth by DESE and District Board Policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Education or administration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Nine month employment.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of District Board Policy.
