Godly Play Assistant Teacher St. Mark's Episcopal Church - 4.7 St. Louis, MO Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Relationship building (classroom management strategies) Teacher collaboration Clear language communication Experience working with children Experience working with elementary school students Full Job Description St. Mark's Episcopal Church, a vibrant parish in St. Louis Hills, seeks a part-time Godly Play assistant teacher to join our children's ministry team. Godly Play is a Montessori-based Christian education curriculum. At St. Mark's, Godly play includes children who range in age from 3-12. Godly Play takes place year-round and includes anywhere from 3-12 children depending on the week. Responsibilities Work alongside St. Mark's Godly Play lead teach to prepare materials for Sunday instruction. Arrive at St. Mark's by 9:15 on Sunday mornings, prepared to lead Godly Play beginning at 9:30am. Adhere to Safe Church Guidelines and invest in meaningful relationships with the children and families of St. Mark's. The children who participate in Godly Play range in age from 3-12 years old. Skills Needed Ability to collaborate in team setting Flexibility and patience with children Strong communication skills, invitational attitude with children and families Experience participating in faith community, and familiarity with Bible stories Desired but not required: Previous training and experience in Godly Play curriculum; training will be provided if needed
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 3.0 per week Application Question(s): Are you willing to participate in Safe Church training for Children and Vulnerable Adults prior to start of job.
