Job Description
Child of God Lutheran School seeks dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher's Assistant to support our full-time certified classroom teachers in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidates will possess the confidence and skill to assist the teacher in small and large groups; helping the students thrive academically and socially. Teacher's Assistant 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and encouragement. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Engage with students during lessons, providing additional support in subjects such as math and reading Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one instruction to reinforce learning objectives. Monitor student progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to the teacher. Prepare classroom materials and resources for daily activities Collaborate with other staff members to create a Christ-centered educational experience for all students. Requirements Practicing Christian willing to share the love of Jesus with children. Ability to follow directions and demonstrate patience. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively. A passion for educating young learners and supporting their development. Previous experience working with children preferred A commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
