Job Description
Paraprofessionals are persons employed to strengthen various programs by assisting the staff. Paraprofessionals shall be assigned to a building by the SPED Director under the direction of the superintendent and may be reassigned as the needs of the district change. Paras are to assist the staff in providing adequate support in relation to the objectives of public education, district goals and student needs. Work with assigned students in assigned classrooms Follow the directions of Special Education Teacher by providing reteaching to assigned students Work with the classroom teacher assigned to assist students within the regular education setting Provide additional support to students to access the regular education curriculum
