Header Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a Certified Medical Assistant Instructor and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals! In this vital role, you will leverage your clinical expertise and teaching skills to deliver engaging, comprehensive instruction in medical assisting, ensuring students gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in diverse healthcare settings. Duties Deliver engaging instruction aligned with our curriculum standards, including topics such as medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, patient care, and clinical procedures Utilize learning management systems (LMS) like Blackboard to create online modules, assessments, and interactive learning experiences Supervise students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in simulated or real healthcare environments Provide guidance on documentation review, laboratory procedures, and clinical research practices related to medical assisting and healthcare delivery Assess student performance through exams, practical demonstrations, and coursework; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with accreditation standards Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives that incorporate current trends in hospital care, pediatrics, public health, veterinary terminology (if applicable), and other relevant fields Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, nursing practices, and patient care procedures Strong experience with higher education teaching methodologies tailored for adult learners in clinical settings Proficiency with learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or similar LMS tools for course delivery and assessment management Supervising experience in clinical or laboratory environments; familiarity with clinical research protocols and documentation review processes Background in hospital or acute care settings; experience with pediatric or veterinary terminology is a plus Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that integrates current industry standards and innovative teaching strategies Join us in empowering future healthcare professionals through energetic instruction grounded in expertise!
