A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Terms of Employment The Remainder of the 2026-2027 School Year 187 days per school year
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess an Associate's Degree or above; or must have at least 48 hours of earned college credit; or must provide passing scores for the Work Keys test (Silver Certificate). Proficiency in skills of reading and writing; Demonstrated interest in and a positive attitude toward the duties and responsibilities required to perform as an instructional assistant for teaching reading/language arts and mathematics. Must pass criminal background check as prescribed by state statute. All applicants must have an application submitted online.
