Are you someone who enjoys working with children and wants to grow into a classroom teaching role? We are looking for a dependable, caring, and flexible team member to join our school community for the remainder of the school year and continue into the summer as a co-lead teacher in one of our Early Childhood classrooms. Sunrise Montessori School is a growing Montessori community serving children ages 3 years through 6th grade. This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in education, child development, or Montessori teaching.

School Year Hours:

Monday-Friday, 11:00am-5:30pm

Summer Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm

Pay:

$15-$17 per hour

DOE Position Overview:

This role is an important support position within our school community. During the school year, this staff member will help support classrooms and teachers throughout the day by assisting with recess coverage, nap/rest time, classroom transitions, and aftercare. This position plays a key role in helping our programs run smoothly while building strong relationships with students and staff. Over the summer, this position transitions into a co-lead role in an Early Childhood classroom.

Responsibilities Include:

Supporting teachers and classrooms throughout the school day Supervising and engaging with children during recess and aftercare Assisting with nap/rest time routines Helping create a warm, safe, and positive environment for students Encouraging independence and respectful behavior Working collaboratively with co-teachers and staff Light cleaning and disinfecting We're Looking for

Enjoys working with children Is dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Takes initiative and works well in a fast-paced environment Builds positive relationships with students, staff, and families Is open to learning about Montessori education

Qualifications:

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Clear background check Ability to work with children ages 3-12 Able to lift up to 40 lbs All staff members strive for kindness, collaboration, respect, accountability, and professionalism.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
