Job Overview The Head Start Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a Head Start program. This position involves working closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes early learning and social-emotional growth. The Teacher Assistant helps implement curriculum activities, assist with classroom management, and provide individualized attention to children to foster their overall development. All staff members are provided with comprehensive training, including CPR certification, to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to early childhood development. Assist in creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times. Provide individualized support to children who may need extra attention or assistance with activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom setting in compliance with program standards. Participate in all required training sessions, including CPR certification, to stay informed of best practices in early childhood education. Collaborate with staff and families to support children's progress and well-being. Support the implementation of health and safety policies within the classroom environment. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young children, families, and team members. Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude toward young children's diverse needs. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team setting. Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the dynamic needs of a classroom environment. Pay:

$20,800.00 - $35,360.00 per year
