Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team for the remainder of the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong background in early childhood education. The position would start August 24 through May 28. Candidates must be able to commit to work consistently Monday-Friday from 8:00-12:45.Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing materials and cleaning the classroom
- Ensure proper supervision of students at all times
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their development and address their unique needs by engaging in connection through play
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior in children.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity between home and school environments
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining the classroom
- Receive and follow the directions of the lead teacher in assigned tasks
- Attend monthly staff meetings
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting required
- Early Childhood Education knowledge and related training preferred
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
