In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom where children can explore, discover, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm and commitment will inspire children to reach their full potential while supporting the lead teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education. Duties Assist in developing and implementing engaging curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth, aligned with early childhood development standards. Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior management strategies and creating a respectful, inclusive environment for all children. Collaborate with lead teachers to prepare lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and other educational approaches tailored to toddler care and preschool-aged children. Provide individualized support for children requiring special education or early intervention services, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following childcare best practices and adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and conferences. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, standardized testing preparation, and teaching physical education. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with parents. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tools. Familiarity with special education needs, literacy education techniques, and Montessori or other educational philosophies is a plus. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; however, enthusiasm for ongoing learning is essential.
