Bright Beginnings Preschool is a four star licensed center with low child teacher ratios. We have been making a difference in children's lives since 2002. We believe children learn best at their own pace with positive reinforcement. Bright Beginnings Preschool provides a cheerful and safe learning environment for children. At our school children will learn and gain the skills and confidence they need and deserve. Minimum requirements for Assistant teachers are as follows.
  • Experience working in a State licensed Childcare facility.
  • Experience working with Preschool age children.
  • Early Childhood Credentials preferred.
  • Background check through DCDEE
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Recent negative TB test
  • In-depth knowledge of childcare licensing regulations Responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to.
Ability to guard the health and safety of children at all times. Responsible for supervision, planning and implementing fun hands on activities, implementing the curriculum, and keeping your classroom organized and sanitized. Maintain a fun and interactive classroom. Must be professional, energetic, patient, caring, organized and dependable with a positive attitude. Must be able to communicate with parents and co-workers in a professional manner. Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Preschool Teacher! Duties Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and early childhood education principles Support classroom management efforts to maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive learning environment Engage children in educational activities that promote social-emotional growth, language development, and cognitive skills Help with daily childcare routines Collaborate with teachers to adapt curriculum for children with special needs or disabilities, including those requiring special education strategies Maintain clear communication with children, parents, and staff to foster strong relationships and provide updates on progress Assist in classroom setup, organization of educational materials, and maintaining a clean, safe learning space Skills Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments Strong knowledge of childhood development Proficiency in classroom management techniques Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, behavior management, and special education strategies Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and educational support staff to enhance student learning outcomes Technical proficiency with educational tools or classroom technology is a plus Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers is advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle diverse classroom situations with patience and professionalism Join us as an Assistant Preschool Teacher where your energy fuels young minds!
