Leaksville-Spray Elementary School-Bilingual Teacher Assistant Rockingham County Schools Job Category Academic-Teaching Overview Description Bilingual Teacher Assistant (8 Hour)
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion of two years of college (48 semester hours) Able to read, write, translation, and interpret English and Spanish
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under the direction of certified teacher(s) Assist multilingual or non-English speaking students with language acquisition skills and obtaining grade level proficiency Interpret verbal communication(s) to assist students, teachers, and parents Translate written communication(s) to assist students, teachers, and parents Serve as a resource to other school personnel requiring assistance with non-English speaking persons Perform other duties as assigned
