F117-18 Announcement Summary This is a continuous recruitment pool not specifically advertised. The pool is continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. We invite applications to be submitted for potential openings. A qualified candidate will possess the ability to effectively educate students in the classroom and laboratory settings and to provide hands-on training for skills necessary in physical therapy are critical to experiencing success in this position. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, excellent communication skills, excellent planning skills, and demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexibility and willingness to change; open-mindedness, fairness and the ability to see multiple perspectives; a willingness to take risks, and willingness to accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.

Duties DUTIES:

The successful candidate will:

Assist with interactive laboratory classes both on and off campus.
Provide input in practical assessments, skills check-offs, and oral presentations.
Complete ordering of supplies and equipment.
Prepare and teach didactic portion of classes.

Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and active licensure in North Carolina as a PTA or PT. Candidates must be in good standing with the NC Board of PT Examiners. Communication, both oral and written, and computer skills necessary. Three years of clinical experience required. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Physical Therapy and teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. Experience as a clinical educator in physical therapy.
