Header Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance in accordance with their development plans. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with state regulations. Support classroom management strategies to promote respectful behavior and a positive learning atmosphere. Header Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching techniques. Ability to provide child supervision with patience, attentiveness, and enthusiasm. Familiarity with child safety protocols including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and emergency response procedures. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Classroom management skills to support behavior management strategies effectively. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
