  • Full-time Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an NC Pre K Teacher or Assistant, where you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact early childhood development through innovative curriculum development, hands-on teaching, and compassionate childcare. Whether leading classroom activities or supporting classroom management, your enthusiasm and expertise will help children build foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development. This paid position is designed to inspire growth both for the children and for your professional journey in early childhood education. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical activity aligned with state standards and best practices in early childhood education. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning through play. Engage children in activities that support their developmental milestones, including toddler care and preschool experiences. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions and a supportive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs—especially those related to special education or early intervention—and promote child welfare. Support classroom management by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Incorporate diverse instructional strategies such as lesson planning for physical education, tutoring in literacy or math, and Montessori methods when appropriate. Use assessment tools and standardized testing to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, curriculum development, and inclusive education practices. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Experience developing lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities suitable for young learners. Classroom experience managing diverse groups of students while maintaining a positive learning environment. Familiarity with special education needs and implementing inclusive teaching strategies is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community resources.
