Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students from pre-K through 12th grade as a contracted paraprofessional throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This role provides the unique opportunity to work across private school settings, offering assistance to learners with varied abilities and needs. With a Monday to Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, you'll collaborate closely with educators and staff to help students build confidence and reach their educational goals. Ideal candidates possess previous hands-on experience assisting students in a school environment, especially those with mild to moderate behavioral challenges. Compassion, flexibility, and teamwork are crucial, as is the ability to provide toileting support to younger children when necessary. Your positive outlook and dedication will be essential in guiding students towards increased independence and success.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Prior experience supporting students in an educational setting, specifically with mild to moderate behavioral or social needs Familiarity working with young children and comfortable with toileting assistance when required Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to shifting caseloads and classroom environments, including various private schools and age groups from pre-K through 12th grade Primary responsibilities: Offer direct support and encouragement to students within classroom, small group, and individual settings Monitor, model, and reinforce positive behavior in line with educator guidance Support teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments Assist with toileting and personal care needs as needed for younger children Report observations and track student progress as directed This contract position runs through June 10, 2027, providing an outstanding way to gain valuable experience and make a difference every day.
