Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and care of young children in a nurturing environment, assisting lead teachers with daily activities, classroom management, and ensuring a safe and engaging space for children to learn and grow. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering positive developmental experiences for children. Responsibilities Assist lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety at all times Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through engaging interactions Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining cleanliness Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes respect and kindness among children Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management, and special education needs Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children including infant care and toddler care Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with parents Compassionate caregiving approach with patience and understanding Classroom experience in early childhood education or nannying/babysitting background preferred Skills in behavior management and creating a nurturing environment conducive to learning This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while working within a supportive team dedicated to quality childcare.
Requirements:
Must be able to work until 6pm Must have a qualifying background check letter and works letter Must have a passion for working with children, reliable transportation, and a consistent schedule
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
