Job Description

Assistant Teacher Union County Community Action, Inc. Work Location- Morven Elementary School, Anson County, NC www.uccainc.org/careers Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking caring and dependable early childhood professionals to support our Head Start/NC PreK classroom serving 4-year- old children by assisting teachers with classroom activities and providing safe transportation services for children and families.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-3pm (40 hours/week) Why Join UCCA? Qualifications Assistant Teacher I:
High School Diploma/ GED & Child Development Associate (CDA). Six months to one year of related experience preferred
Assistant Teacher II:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred. Six months to one year of related experience preferred EDU 119 required CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings. Valid driver's license required Physical Requirements Must be able to actively supervise young children in classroom and outdoor environments, assist children on and off the bus, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
