Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support classroom activities, foster a positive learning environment, and assist students in reaching their full potential. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create an engaging atmosphere where children feel supported, motivated, and inspired to learn. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education and special education programs, ensuring every child's developmental needs are met with care and expertise. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development. Support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities Help organize classroom materials, prepare educational resources, and set up learning stations for various activities. Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and engagement. Collaborate with teachers on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure tailored support for students with disabilities. Engage in lesson planning and curriculum development to enhance early childhood education programs, including Montessori and preschool methodologies. Support children's social-emotional growth through nurturing interactions and promoting effective communication skills. Assist in documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records of classroom activities, and communicating updates with parents or guardians. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, including preschool or early childhood education environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in special education. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities. Experience in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and lesson Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, parents, and support staff. Background in childcare, toddler care, or private school environments is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to different student needs while maintaining a positive attitude.
