Open Positions:
Primary and Elementary Assistant Teachers Primary Assistant Description An attentive, nurturing, and enthusiastic classroom presence, the Primary Assistant supports the Lead Guide in a mixed-age learning community for children ages 3-6 using the Montessori method in the prepared classroom. The Primary Assistant plays a key role in delivering small-group language instruction — supporting phonics, vocabulary, and oral language development — while helping ensure students progress within the Montessori framework. Primary Assistants meet regularly with the Lead Guide and Instructional Coach for ongoing support and coaching. MMCS also provides time for educators to meet in Professional Learning Communities each Friday from 1:00 pm - 3:45 pm. Elementary Assistant Description An avid learner, skilled communicator, and enthusiastic classroom presence, the Elementary Assistant supports the Lead Guide in a mixed-age learning community for children ages 6-9 using the Montessori method in the prepared classroom. The Elementary Assistant helps deliver individual, small-group, and whole-class lessons across the curriculum, and supports students in meeting North Carolina Standards within the Montessori framework. Elementary Assistants meet regularly with the Lead Guide and Instructional Coach for ongoing support and coaching. MMCS also provides time for educators to meet in Professional Learning Communities each Friday from 1:00 pm - 3:45 pm. Both positions offer pathways to Montessori training and lead teaching positions at the school. Requirements High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Classroom experience in a public school and/or Montessori environment preferred Compensation & Benefits Salary offer is commensurate with professional experience and career goals (base salary increases based on years of experience) Full Health Benefits with North Carolina State Teacher Health Plan Paid Time Off Bottomless tea & coffee!
