The Teacher Aide is responsible in assisting the Teacher and Center Supervisor in carrying out the classroom activities and component plans, which will include; working closely with the parents/families to secure the needs of the children in the classroom.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe, healthy environment that promotes injury prevention, overall wellness, and positive nutrition practices. Provide developmentally appropriate materials, equipment, and activities that support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth through positive verbal and non-verbal interactions. Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with CLASS domains—Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support—using effective language modeling and feedback. Foster positive relationships, empathy, cooperation, and respectful interactions among children and adults. Plan, organize, and implement lesson plans that incorporate effective teaching strategies; maintain accurate records and complete required reports. Build open, supportive relationships with families and encourage their participation in the Head Start program and curriculum. Will perform other duties as assigned.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a High School Diploma. Child Development Associate (CDA) or two (2) year Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Driver's License Preferred.SHIFT:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PMTESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
